All That Jazz Battle ft. Bandler Ching

We open the evening with a live set by Bandler Ching, after which we go wild with the battle.

The best freestyle dancers represent their style in a 1 vs 1 format. Each dancer is linked to a jazz instrument on which he/she will have to freestyle against the opponent. The further the dancer gets, the more instruments he/she will get to dance on. We will announce the names of the dancers, hosts and judges later.

Bandler Ching

Praised for their unique blend of electronica, global beats, and grooves, Belgian jazz cats Bandler Ching have won over fans of Aphex Twin, Thundercat and Flying Lotus. Their sound is instantly recognizable and could only emerge from the culturally rich and diverse Brussels music scene centered around VOLTA and Sdban Records.

The band consists of Ambroos De Schepper (Kosmo Sound, Whoman), Federico Pecoraro (ECHT!),
gitarist Florent Jeuniaux (ECHT !) and Olivier Penu (Honey, Kel Assouf), each having made their mark on the Belgian scene. This melting pot of influences translates to a powerful live show, with saxophone, bass and drums taking center stage, blending electronica with dazzling effects and danceable grooves.

Following a stunning EP and a full album called Coaxial released in January 2023, which got endorsed by tastemaker Lefto Early Bird and earned them a feature on the renowned Jazz Cats compilation, Bandler Ching are back with new music and are coming for your mind, body, and soul. Their upcoming album Mercurial is due in February 2025
