Guitarist Willem Heylen (aki, Cinema Paradiso...) may launch his dream project at Leuven Jazz 2025. He has put together an improvising collective from jam sessions with various guest musicians, with whom he explores atmospheric soundscapes.
The meditative nature of the music is paramount: slowly evolving tapestries of sound and subtle, minimalist textures are at the heart of the improvisations. To make the most of this listening experience, the ensemble experiments with audience/artist positioning: the musicians are free to move around the venue and are among the audience. The sound sources are also placed around the audience. A sensory experience.
Lie down on your mat and let yourself be carried away and immersed. You will definitely come out a different person.
