Ernst Vranckx Trio

Ernst Vranckx is that pianist of whom none other than Kenny Wheeler said, "There are few interesting composers! Ernst is one of the good ones. I love his songs, they tell me something."

Vranckx's music has been described as 'European Cool' with ethnic and classical influences. This mix also resonates far beyond the country's borders. His subsequent projects led to the

CDs A Child's Blessing (with Kenny Wheeler) and Songs & Dances (on the label W.E.R.F). Concerts, festivals and radio sessions throughout Europe, Southern Africa and China followed in these and other line-ups.

In recent years, Ernst Vranckx has been active with his own trio with bassist David Helm and drummer Kris Duerinckx.
