In the B-Jazz International Contest, we are looking for young jazz talent ready to break through on international stages. B-Jazz wants to discover, support and encourage these talents.

BeraadGeslagen is the rock-solid duo comprised of drummer Lander Gyselinck and keyboardist/singer Fulco Ottervanger; Before and after this concert, you will also enjoy the free double bill by Joel Francis and Fred Gata.

Young drummer and LUCA student Moene Peeters is given carte blanche to put together an evening with two emerging, local talents. Enjoy these young and fresh sounds during this double bill.

As every year, Leuven Jazz presents a series of theme combos by the jazz department of the LUCA School of Arts. Together with their teacher, the students work out a repertoire around a certain theme or a well-known figure from the history of jazz.

In the theatre performance Colors (6+), jazz plays a key role, as guitarist Geoffrey Burton draws inspiration from the songs full of colours by jazz composer Ken Nordine.

This unique creation combines freestyle dance with live jazz from the band GlasHelder. Each dancer will be paired with an instrument on which she/he will have to freestyle against an opponent. With Aftershow by DJ Hygra.

Lying-down concert! Alex Koo's music sounds like a marriage between Debussy, Chopin, Reich and Rachmaninov on the one hand, and Keith Jarrett, Craig Taborn, Brian Eno and Philip Glass on the other.
