Lubiana

Lubiana is a Belgian-Camerounian singer-songwriter with a golden voice.

She started her musical career at the age of 8 and studied piano, guitar, saxophone and performing arts. At 17, she studied vocal jazz at the Lemmens Institute and at the age of 21 she discovered the West African kora.

This instrument changed her life completely. She reconnected with her African roots and traditions and, in doing so, also discovered the work of grandmasters such as Toumani Diabaté.

With her kora strapped to her back, she travelled to London and delivered an exceptional showcase at the famous Ronnie Scott's Club.
