The live music
DeBATTERY United
In DeBATTERIJ United, all drummers and drummers from DeBATTERIJ join forces to form one big grooving mass that makes every square or street shake. DeBATTERIJ is a Leuven-based organisation that brings people together through/with/via an arsenal of homemade drums and a corresponding original repertoire. They shake streets, squares, classrooms and festivals, bringing their positive vibes to a very diverse audience. Off the stage rather than on it.
DROM B.T. ft. Sam Versweyveld
DROM B.T.* are six musicians who use acoustic drums and electrically amplified/distorted sound objects to weave a polyrhythmic carpet of sound. The result is brutal, blistering and extremely danceable D.I.Y. techno! Lo-fi voodoo for the masses. (* B.T. stands for Brico Tronic.)
Percussion and electronics also run like a thread through trumpeter Sam Versweyveld’s varied career. So he feels right at home in this company.
