Initiation Lindyhop

Before the dance party starts at the concert of the Blue Mockingbirds, the dance teachers of Apollo Swing will introduce you to the world of Charleston, Lindy Hop and solo jazz. Couple dance and solo dance together.

Apollo Swing

Apollo Swing was founded in 1996 by Geneviève Vermylen and Didier Loiseau, who discovered lindy hop at Herräng Dance Camp, the largest and longest-running lindy hop festival in the world. Both lovers of the music and fashion of the 1930s, 40s and 50s were immediately impressed by the dance and couldn't wait to share their passion for it at home.

Apollo Swing was one of the first lindy hop dance schools in our country (also with a base in Leuven) and quickly became one of the pioneers of the now thriving Belgian swing dance scene.
