Adja Fassa is probably THE revelation of 2022. She's a singer, composer and theatre-maker, that also writes and plays.

From a young age, she always tried to understand the deeper layers in herself and others. She's also a keen traveller: from the theatre school at KASK Ghent, travelling to India and Nepal to study yoga and returning to Belgium to study as a jazz singer at the Leuven Conservatory. She subsequently started a theatre education to combine her singing, theatre and physical performance.

Recently, she created Adjabet, chapter I, her first interdisciplinary performance about a symbolic alphabet - the first part in a trilogy. In an attempt to develop her own language which combines jazz, soul and R&B with motion, smell, sound and text, she aims for a description of the feelings and ambiences we all experience, but find hard to express.

With her nine-piece band ADJA, she translates these compositions to the stage, as you can witness an after-show following the concerts by Lakecia Benjamin & NΔBOU. In December, they won the Soundtrack competition for young talents in Flanders.

In this living room concert, she chooses more intimacy and connection and will perform in an acoustic duo with guitarist and arranger Alexis Nootens.
