Jazz in all its forms has always been a source of inspiration to visual artists, especially during its bloom in the United States.
The energy, the liberty of improvisation, the rhythm, the openness to various influences, the experimenting with diffent instruments ... these are vital elements in both music and visuals arts.
In the words of artist Barbara Januszkiewicz: "Jazz can be a blank canvas full of possibilities."
The participants of the socio-artistic studio De FactorY got inspired by rhythm, movement, pitch, expression ...
Sound became colour and colour became sound.
The result can be admired in this growing exhibition.
As in jazz improvisations, the participants experimented with live drawing on music and influenced each other mutually.
They will continue to create during the daily concerts of the theme ensembles of the LUCA Jazz department.
You can join in and thus contribute yourself to the exhibition
